Let's say that you are a great athlete with great grades in a sport such as field hockey or archery, not a sport that really packs a stadium. Are there really that many opportunities to get an athletic scholarship? I'm of the opinion that it's really hard to get one in a less visible sport but I have no way of finding this type of information anywhere. Does anyone know of a web-site that may show this kind of info?

I saw the question linked below, and nearly keeled over. I answered the question as best I could, explaining what a professor's job actually entails. Do college students really think all we do is teach class and then go home?

I have a trophy to give to a child in appreciation for a job well done. But I can only use 2-3 lines on the engraved placque and each line can only be 40-45 charaters. This is for either a boy or girl. Any ideas woud be appreciated

I'm not a very rich person, but I want to study in America. I know international students can't work off campus. And I know there's no financial aid available to international students in America. I plan to live in the states sometime in the future, which is why I want to study there. Anyone know if there is canadian financial aid to those who want to study in the states? Thanks for any help.

I am a college freshman who made one of the most difficult choices in my life.

I applied to 21 different schools during my senior year, and got acceptance from

Duke University
Cornell University
University of Michigan Ann Arbor
University of Virginia
Carnegie Mellon University
University of Florida

All of these colleges but Florida costed me around $30,000 to $40,000 per year, but they were internationally prestigious and TOP 20 colleges in the nation while Florida was 48th.

I picked Florida, because I received Bright Future scholarship for 4 years and this covered 100% of my tuition.

I am currently studying Economics, pre-law, and pre-medicine.

Did I make a reasonable choice?
