Do people make noise all the time, or is it usually quiet enough to study? What about sharing the bathroom, how is that?

A lot of times in my AP U.S. history class, my teacher would lecture things for us to take notes on. But I could never catch up even though I try to shorten words and make initials for phrases like "the Market Revolution" would be "MR" or "Andrew Jackson" would be "AJ" or "J.". And usually, a lot of what he said would be on the test exactly, as he have talked about Asa Gray many times but I didn't take the notes so I have to researcher it up again for the assignment while I could have had notes to just fill in the description.
Is there any tips or little things to help me take notes faster because it's really killing me to do more work iwhen it could have been more simpler.

How should I go about starting the process? There are only two small colleges within a fair distance of me. I'm not traveling, I have small children who are in school. I want to somehow take classes so I can someday have this as my carreer. So what type of degree do I need? Where do I begin? Is anyone farmiliar with this process who can help guide me? I am a 25 yr old stay at home mom who wants to have a carreer lined up by the time both of my children are in school all day (assuming I am done having kids that will be in about 6 years).

I left school when I was 15 and worked on farms for 3 years and waitressed for 1 year. I then married an engineer & became a stay at home mum. I own my home & car & live in a popular middle-class suburb. I have no worries about finance or finding the time to study. However, I am really unsure about going to uni to study law because of my age, lack of work experience and lack of education. Am I being realistic?

Personally I think that our curriculum is years behind. Take for example one of my math classes. I am in the most advanced 9th grade math class offered at my school and find myself bored because the information that is being presented is simply review. Two moths ago we revewed common finite difference (many of my peers including myself had finished with common finite difference in 4th grade) and it was presented as new information! Personally I think that educational system is holding students back by teaching only basic Information.

Before you send a reply involving private school please note that our town only has one private school and it is catholic (I am not Cathiolic and refuse to go to church for school every week if I do believe in the religion). My mother has attempted to get me to go but in this pivate school the curriculum is even farther behind than that of the public schools. Furthermore my parents will not allow me to go to boarding school.

Hi teachers
I wonder what is the best interpretaion of A HEART in the following.
And doing is similat to acting here?

Let us then be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate:
Still chieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait

1. Make a mnemonic device to help you remember the seven taxonomic levels in order from largest to smallest or from smallest to largest.

For example:
King Philip Came Over From Germany Sailing

King= Kingdom (largest group)
Philip= Phylum
Came= Class
Over= Order
From= Family
Germany= Genus
Sailing= Species (smallest group)
(This example goes from largest to smallest).

2. Where do you see examples of classification used to organize the world around you? Explain.

3. Why do we need classification systems?

Mailing an entire building has been illegal in the U.S. since 1916 when a man mailed a 40,000 ton brick house across Utah to avoid high freight rates

In 1901, there were approximately 230 reported murders in the entire United States, even though gun ownership was a fact of life

California - No vehicle without a driver may exceed 60 miles per hour

Atlanta,Georgia - It is against the law to tie a giraffe to a telephone pole or street lamp

West Virginia - Whistling underwater is prohibited

Do you know of any old crazy state laws that are still in effect today?

Most interesting with a link to back it up will be awarded best answer.

Thank you for participating and Good luck!!
