please provide where you got the definition from. i need a source to put down. i cant seem to find the definition anywhere so i would appreciate the help :]

direct control there is no definition on the web. i think you just need to break the words down.

DIRECT - command with authority

CONTROL - power to direct or determine

both words are basically the same in a sense.

I wonder if in your case this is accurate:
Direct: First person or hands on, not through a second party.
Control: To guide or lead.

In some ways direct and control have similar meanings so it depends on the issue at hand.

The dictionary say's this,

direct: instruct, focus attention on something

control: restrain or limit, manage

Direct: To have first person contact to influence a devise or person.

Control: To have first person power over a devise or person.
