When someone is spelling out a word or giving someone a Part Number or VIN Number on the phone that contains letters...

For example:
Break

B as in Boy
R
E as in Edward
A as in Apple
K

Part #VB96K

V as in...
B as in boy

Does this have a specific name, this technique? Are their certain words you are supposed to use when doing this or does it matter what words you use, just as long as the person on the other line understands what word you are saying?

Im doing a research paper about the social anxiety about teachers touching children, and, for my data, Im used data collected from two scholars on the topic. I need advice on my thesis about biracialism and racial categorization. This is what i have so far:
The race-based aspects of the American culture reflects the degrading barriers society has placed. Our obsession with race and racial categorization have many negative affects on biracial groups in America. Many of the mixed-race people are vulnerable to racial discrimination and demeaning stereotypes. A number of them often face identity struggles and alienation.
I'm having problem focusing my thesis. Myteacher wants a precise, single thesis involving race, yet it has to be broad enough for 5 pages. Any suggestions on what my thesis should be? I also need to support it with my sources. The book i got is a collection of essay from diff. biracial people dealing with self-identity,fitting in,prejudice,etc. Im having hard time outlining how my essay should be. Should i find a new simpler and more specific topic? If so, plz give some suggestions.

I'm in middle school and we are getting ready to start a research project. My topic can be anything (not having to do with history really) between 1846 adn 1920. I have NO idea what to do. Does anyone have a great idea that is not about the Civil War or World War 1. There are a ton of people doing those topics and I want to be a litle different.

For my final project I have to build a webpage about a company, and I can't think of one that I could build a decent and interesting page about. It has to be PG rated lol. And it has to be a REAL business, I can't just make it up, which is what I was told to do the last time I asked people here to help me out...

I'm really into webdesign, music, art, and animals, but I can't find any sites or information on any companies that can make a good page.

Anyone know of any companies/businesses that I can use?

I'm open to suggestions.

It'd have to be a place that will offer information on their inner workings and all of those goodies.
