No. Yout teacher is only telling your class about what puerto ricians need to know about documents and green cards.

I believe your teacher is misinformed. All puerto ricans were granted citizenship in 1917, so they would not need green cards.
Should he/she get in trouble because he/she gave you the wrong information? I don't think so. It depends on the context of what your teacher was saying.
Saying that by itself doesn't warrant that they should get in trouble. Now, if they added negative comments about puertoriqueños or hispanics, then it becomes a problem.

If teachers could get in trouble for telling you something untrue, they'd all be in trouble, all the time. Oh, and Roy Glen, Puerto Ricans ARE American citizens, and do NOT need green cards.

Your teacher need to go back to school & learn about US history..Apparently he or she has a big issue with hispanics.
Yes I would bring that up to the administration..make sure you do bring some witness...This needs to stop.
No one should be making any kind of ethnic remarks, this person is way...ignorant
