My gpa is 3.55 and i got a 22 on the ACT test, will I be able to get into any of the big ten schools such as indiana university, michigan state, or purdue univeristy with this low act score. Do colleges really base their decisions on the act score or do they look at your actual grades in school?

My daughter has what I consider average ability in math and can add single digit numbers. She does however count on her fingers to get the answer and does end up getting some wrong due to miscount.

We have enrolled her in a reputable tutoring program to assist her with her math. Two months in, she has not progressed, the assignments she is doing are still the same as when we first started and she still counts on her fingers. The way the program works is until she passes the course work (exam each week), she repeats it again.

Is there any tips on how I can further assist her with her math. I would like to see her progress.

How can I get her to stop counting on her fingers. Is it just repetition and eventually she will just remember or is there a good method that I can follow.

Thank you

I'm a freshman in HS, and in my Literary Seminar class, we are to examine ourselves fully - and create two pieces of art (drawn, short story, or poetry) which depict our two "selves" - one for how we project ourselves/how we're perceived, and one for how our conscience sees us. I chose poetry - and so I need to write two poems. I haven't really started at all.

The problem is - it's due on Tuesday and I'm short on inspiration and my mind has completely shut off. My plan is to write down all brainstorms/ideas today - really flesh it out - and take a couple hours tomorrow to work on the poetry. Any ideas on how to tap into my creative self, do some deep probing, etc - really fast? As in, I have about two hours for this today and I should start in the next half hour.

Thank you so much!

ok so i have this english teacher who assigns our class pages from a workbook that we have and one of the pages is called perfect tense verbs . none of our class completely understands the subject so we ask him about it, but he just reads from some book i dont know and he reads the exact definition . he never explains it to us, he just says the definition and makes us do the work so that we get a bad grade on it. i want to drop out of the class but i cant so the only thing i can do is to try to understand this stuff before he assigns it but im having a little trouble finding perfect tense verbs. can you give me websites? thank you so much!
