Oh high school chemistry,do I still remember this?
Lemme see: glucose, galactose, fructose, lactose, and what are the last two?
Time for research
===============
Carbohydrates are both sugars and polymers. Sugars are the smallest carbohydrates and they serve as fuel and carbon sources. These simple sugars are called monosaccharides, and they generally have molecular formulas that are some multiple of CH2O?. Glucose, the most common monosacchride, is of central importance in the chemistry of life. Monosacchrides are the major nutrients for cells. Not only are simple sugar moleculesa major fuel for cellular work, but their carbon skeletons serve as raw material for the synthesis of other types of small organic molecules .

---------------------------------
Ok I remember the rest of them- lactose is the monosaccharide in milk,
Fructose is found in fruits
They can be found in nature or artificially created and used in the food industry.
The other ones are dextrose- used in intravenous drips in the hospitals
sucrose- found in regular sugar in your house
maltose- from most plants
