I recently graduated college and I finally found a job. The problem is my benefits won't be available until three months later. Does anyone know of any health insurance coverage that would be beneficial for college graduates or someone in my situation in general?

I'm applying to college [undergraduate] right now and I can't decide what I want to major in. I know the usual cliche, "major in something you love" but I want a major that has substance, one that will have good job oppurtunities. Anyways, I was considering economics but I haven't had economics yet (next semester) I was wondering if that was a "good" major. What job prospects are out there if someone majored in economics after getting atlease a masters. What are the courses like? I know it depends on the university and professors but the basic course can't be extreme from one university to another, right? I'm open to other suggestions. Thank You.

Every Monday, I have a quiz for AP US history. It's worth the same as a test...35% of the grade. I have taken three so far, and studied only for two and I have been doing AVERAGE. I want to get at least a B on my next quiz, but I don't know how to study. Reading and knowing from the book (American Pageant...if you guys have that) doesn't help because the questions are comprehensive...not straightforward. I have a whole weekend to study and I'm nervous and tense. I have Barron's AP US History flashcards and REAS best test prep book...they do help but not for every single question.
Any suggestions?

Two K-8 school teachers (both teach 6th) presented with the same issue responded differently:
A 6th grade girl was being ostracized by the other girls and the teacher noticed falling grades and change in demeanor.
The teacher from the inner-city school made time to address the situation, had a mediation with all the girls and involved the other teachers (not to say that everyone suddenly became best friends) and followed-up.
The teacher from the suburbs made a phone call to the girl's parents, suggested counseling outside of school, did not question the girls that were doing the bullying and did not follow up for several weeks.

Did the inner-city school teacher go above and beyond? Was she wasting time/coddling student?
Was the suburban teacher negligent? Too busy? Over-worked?

This REALLY happened and I'm wondering why their approach was so different.
Do you think that the socio-economic status of the student population is a factor?

I know that alphas in hyena families are female, lionesses are the hunters in lion packs, praying mantis and black widow females kill the males after mating. I want to know if there is anywhere else you see this superiority or dominance by females in the animal kingdom? Please, nothing about how human women are obviously stronger/bossier/etc. or weaker/subservient/etc. Didn't know where else to post this.

Hi Im in a gifted program in my middle school. Parents have to apply for their kids to get in and a lot of kids dont make it and wind up in the regular education program. Here's an example. One of my girl buddies is in regular ed life science with the same teacher that I have biology (note the name difference). For us we get to do experiments, the teacher shows us how math works into science, and we have a harder book. For her, they only get to do a few hands on things and watch a lot of videos, the book is a lot easier, and the teacher doesnt do math. I asked her to ask the teacher why he doesnt show them math like in the gifted classes. She told him how she knew and she said she knows me. The teacher gave her a knowing look and said he cant cover the math in science because it would slow the class down too much and he wouldnt be able to cover all the material. I think its wrong to put one group of kids at a disadvantage while giving another a better education.
