How was John steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath shaped by, and how did it shape, debates about the rights and responsibities of workers circulating at the time the novel was published, for exampel, debates concerning the appropriate relationship among American business, government agencies, and the individual citizen? In other words, what kinds of cultural work did the novel perform at the time of its publication?

I need your help.
I 'll be thankful if you provide me with just some ideas.
THANK YOU

http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k94/ssneha/area.jpg

Area of an object = length (say a) * breadth (say b)
Therefore, area of a square = a^2 (for a square, length = breadth)
Area of a rectangle = a*b
However, area of a cylinder = 2*Pi*r^2 + Pi*d*h
Since, we're talking about area here, we shouldn't take height into consideration because if we do, then it becomes volume, r8?

agghh....I'm totally confused.....can you plz tell me where I'm goin wrong? What are the main factors you need to consider when finding the area and volume of a figure (square, rectangle, prism...)

Why do we add up the circles when we don't add up the sides in a square or rectangle, though they're equal?

The question is not who is India's biggest star. The following are believed to be the best. Who would you pick from the list?
Mohanlal,Nedumudi Venu,Thilakan(Malayalam) Kamalhasan(Tamil) Ompuri,Nazaruddin Shah(Hindi). Sure there are others like Ajay Devgan,Manoj Bajpei,Mammootty,Prakash Raj,Vikram,Rajath Kapur etc. My vote is for Mohanlal about whom a German critic once said that he would have been called world's best actor but for the fact that he was born in a wrong place. Please give your opinion.

Position A - Representation in both houses should be based strictly on polulation
Position B - All states should have equal representaton in the national legislature
