Education & Reference - 2 September 2006

My neighbor is having problems with her 8 year old's school. She's in 3rd grade and has attended the school since kindergarten. Need legal advice PLEASE! WHat can be done?? Here's the background info:
1st grade: child comes home with lice. She is an only child and has contact with other children only at school. My neighbor treated her child and then notified the school so others could be checked too.. The next day the child goes to school. The school nurse checks out her hair and finds a lice egg. The nurse FREAKS out and calls my neighbor at work, basically saying she was a bad mother. The child's grandmother gets involved and almost brings the nurse to tears for embarrassing the child in front of her classmates. The nurse apologies..
2nd grade: Child is bullied relentless by 3 girls who "gang" up on her and keep others from being her friend. She is basically isolated from her classmates. My neighbor informs the principal and the teacher.

I am in a class and the professor is black and she shows favoritsm to all the black and white students. I am the only asian in the class and she subtly discriminates against me. I tried to set up an appointment to talk with her about my concern in private and instead she goes behind my back and forwards my email to the head of the department. Now everytime I go to class she stares at me rudely for long periods. What do I do so she won't give me a bad grade?

I feel like the students in my classes only speak outloud to hear themselves talk and almost nothing they have to say is intelligent or even relevant to the subject at hand. Speaking in class is no problem, but irrelevant commentary is rampant! But nobody calls them out! Why do grad students do this? And if you are one of those students who talk just to talk, why do you do it? If they are as smart as they think they are, why can't they just save the bull for their papers and censor themselves a bit?

At school we are not allowed to carry backpacks around, We are allowed to carry around Like totebags, My art class is on the other side of the world from my locker, I have an Andy Warhaw bag. My art class is the last period of the day. So in stead of running to my locker to get my stuff should I just put every thiing in there and use it as a purse "type of thing" that way I don't have to really worry about missing the bus? Or any other Ideas would be nicke thanks!
