At school we are not allowed to carry backpacks around, We are allowed to carry around Like totebags, My art class is on the other side of the world from my locker, I have an Andy Warhaw bag. My art class is the last period of the day. So in stead of running to my locker to get my stuff should I just put every thiing in there and use it as a purse "type of thing" that way I don't have to really worry about missing the bus? Or any other Ideas would be nicke thanks!

i have this problem with seventh bell being really far from my locker as well. And I carry a bag, instead of a bookbag. Don't carry home a ton of stuff, you'll look bad. Like a freshman or seventh grader. Go to your locker between six and seventh bell. That's what I do.

I had this problem too as an artist. I think the overall solution is to carry around only what you really need to carry. Also, it helps a lot if you could refocus your mediums. I miss the days of getting my hands dirty but right now all my work fits in a USB drive that I can slip into my pocket. I use a Wacom graphic tablet for the desk top with a 24in dell lcd monitor and a acer tablet PC when I'm on the go. If you don't have the budget for that sort of thing you can always just carry something that will pass the "legal" description of what is not considered a "backpack". Worst case scenario, you can use one of those trolley bags with wheels. Hey, we are artists and who gives a damn about what other people think?

What a coincidence. I have art the last period of the day as well, but lucky for me, we can carry backpacks around at our school! (doesn't help, does it?). Well, what I do is, I carry around all the stuff for my morning classes, go to my locker around lunch, then carry around the stuff for my afternoon classes (less load). I also don't take the bus; my parent picks me up. (that doesn't help either, does it...) hhhh...sorry I wasn't of any help, but I know what you mean! I used to have to rush around like a decapitated chicken, gathering my stuff and rushing to the bus.

Find someone with a locker closer to your art class and share lockers. I did that with my friends. My last class didn't really have homework so I would leave my book and binder for that class in my friend's locker which was right next to my class and I allowed them to use my locker.
