BAckpack Problem!!?

At school we are not allowed to carry backpacks around, We are allowed to carry around Like totebags, My art class is on the other side of the world from my locker, I have an Andy Warhaw bag. My art class is the last period of the day. So in stead of running to my locker to get my stuff should I just put every thiing in there and use it as a purse "type of thing" that way I don't have to really worry about missing the bus? Or any other Ideas would be nicke thanks!

What do the other students do? Many stores sell nice business totes (kind of a cross between a briefcase and a large purse), that's what I use for my classes.
