My dad wants me to take the LSAT with him in less than 4 weeks. I've taken practice tests before and gotten a 169. That was a long time ago though. I just don't want to waste my time or money, as I won't go to law school now if it isn't completely paid for.

Write your own ticket, probably not Depends on what school you're trying to get into. Some schools graduate students with D averages.

I worked for Princeton Review and Kaplan.

170 is outstanding, as far as going without paying, I assume you mean merit fellowships, etc?

Unfortunately, I am a DVM, finishing my MD and PHD, though I took the LSAT to hone my skills, I never was interested in law school, so I have no idea about the number of fellowships, etc., but I am sure there are ones that do cover all expenses; a 170 would be "competitive" in the LSAT for any admission or fellowship, but you need to check with the schools you'd be attending.

What have you been doing since the "long time" you took the practice tests, and are you interested in law school? I can say from "having been there" in top programs, no professional school or graduate program should be done "half-heartedly" or without a determination to work in that career. Aptitude is what gets you in, but resolve gets you through, and if you "really don't want it", you will suffer, and the people in veterinary and medical school with me who did quit or "fail out", all clearly were not "determined" to have a career in medicine; don't go unless you are determined!

Good luck and visit the school's websites about their fellowship opportunities.
