What colleges that are primarily geared toward online education (ie Strayer, U of Phoenix) are considered to be of the highest quality? Where does Thomas Edison State College-NJ fit in? And, where can I find a ratings list?

I heard this arugment on NPI the other day and wanted to know your thoughts.

Specifically high school. A lot of kids 14-17 complain about having to go to school; they are bored, refuse to study, see no purpose of learning. Their malaise creates a burden on teachers and classmates. Sure, the conventional wisdom is that you have no future without a high school degree at a minimum, but in society there are lot of financially successful people who lack formal education. If those who hate school and behave poorly were removed, more resouces could be placed on those kids who are academically motivated.

I have a form of learning disability called 'dyscalculia'. I never took my SATs because of my low math score. Do colleges look at individual scores in certain subjects? I don't want to be denied a college education because of my learning disability.

I've bombed three times on the GRE verbal section (450 first time, 410 second time, and 380 third time) over the past 2-3 years and I need some help.

The math section isn't concerning but may be in the future (my major will either be history or library science). The analytical writing section is a breeze (I usually get within 70-80 percentile in that area so that's good).

So how do I improve my verbal scores? I don't have the vocabulary of an Oxford theologian and I have a tough time trying to time myself through the test because it takes me forever just to analyze the problem (mostly antonyms and analogies).

So am I a hopeless case that doesn't deserve to go to grad school or can I be helped?

Oh my God am I having the tougest time in college right now! I'm a freshman, obviously, and I commute. The amount of writing, note taking, and especially reading is too much for me. This will make it impossible for me to get a job-in fact, I barely have enough time to do my homework on days that I don't work! Please do not even attempt to answer if all you're going to say is something like, "that's the way it is-deal with it." I'm seriously stressing out and I don't think I can handle this. Help me before I drop out!
