Instead say, "If I asked you out, would you go out with me?"

But stop being so timid. Just say, "Will you go out with me?"

Even more effective if you choose an interesting activity such as, "Will you go to the movies or a concert with me?"

Read up on rhetorical questions that don't use question marks. Find out what your teacher thinks. That's important for tests. One rule with commas is only use them with prepositions. They don't come out with English grammar book almost yearly because it's that simple. Didn't get any kind of handle on this till started to think of each part of sentence as a clause.

Haha...I knew all my practice for my GMAT exam would be of some help to someone someday. This is how I would write the sentences....

If I asked, would you go out with me?
If I asked the question first, how would I re-word it?
Would you go out with me if I asked?

First thing you want to do is grow some balls.

Next, I would forget the letter and just ask her in person.

After that, learn how to deal with rejection. That seems like it's definitely on it way.

All of your questions are rhetorical.
Just say "Will you go out with me". That is all. But the correct way to say it is:
"Would you go out with me if I asked?"

If I ask you out; would you go out with me?
OR
