I found an image of a picture that I need for a project (found the image online). The problem is that it has some writing on it which i need to remove (without removing the color from behind) And write something new on it. Is there anyway that I can do this and if so how? Thanks!

*Here is the pic...if you look at it there is something written in the middle and I need to remove it.

Problem
A rectangular garden is 6 meters longer than the width . if the area is to be 135 m2 , find the length and width .

Solution given :

X = width
X = 6=length

A= L x W

Solve : X2 +6x=135
X2 + 6X+9=135 +9
(x + 3) 2=144
X+3 = + or- 144 squared
X +3= + or - 12
X = 9 or X = -15

Where does the 9 in step 6come from ?

my grandma and i were just having a discussion about these subjects. i am going to school tommorow and i will be in algebra 1-2b. why must we learn this. will i ever have a home with a hectagon room? i understand that kids need to learn the basics such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. times tables, fractions percents. but why would we need to know y= 143x+6? i mean will i ever need to use this?
