It helped. I went for 3 years. When we moved and I had to transfer I knew more Math and Reading than my new peers, and I could use the advantage all my school years. I know a lot of people who send their kids to Catholic Schools even if they are not catholic because they know they are going to have good Education.

When I was a kid, I started off at a Catholic elementary school and was later transferred to public school when my parents could no longer afford the tuition. I remember very well that I hated it when I started public school. As it was really early in my education, my new teachers yelled at me for writing in cursive or using algebra because "I wasn't supposed to know that yet". In my experience, you receive a better education at a Catholic school than in a public school and you are better prepared by the time you get to high school or college having attended a Catholic school. I never cared for the religious part of the studies, but it just goes hand in hand with the better education.

When I read the barely literate questions on Yahoo Answers and try to translate the misspellings, I'm thankful I had a Catholic Elementary, High School and College education.
I'm not religious by any means but the discipline and low tolerance for failure in these schools has helped me throughout my life - even though I wasn't happy about it as a kid.

It helped me "just say no" to church.
And it held me back in my education, cuz my catholic school was crap. I was behind in everything when i went to a public highschool.- especially math and science
So please- DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN THERE!
