I'am a lawyer from the Philippines and wants to practice my profession here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I understand that one has to pass the bar exams, but as an immigrant what are the initial steps to take? Where can I have my credentials assessed? Can you please provide me with the name of the institutions to go to and their contact numbers, address and e-mail address.

I mean to say that after the completion of my post graduate studies I ve got a teaching job just as a fresh candidate. So Im also little nervous that how should I behave on my ist day when there will be the Principle nad heads of that department to check my way of teaching.
Im confident enough but the reason for this hesitation is that Ive no experience before for teaching line. And I also like this field.

Aristotle believed that people who do not have the aptitude or time to participate in governance should not be citizens. Cite experiences from your life to support or refute his argument.

Sure, tenure allows college professors to have academic freedom, but unfortunately, it also allows them to get away with murder. Professors often get away with verbally abusing (even harassing) students and doing a poor job teaching simply because they have tenure.

I went to my local school last friday to register. I went in and asked if I could take psy 150 online because I have a baby and I dont want to put her to daycare and all the online class for psy 150 was filled. I needed that subject so bad for this semester. If anyone can recommend a good online school hu will let me take just one subject, please let me know. I really dont want to go back to traditional schooling because of my baby. Tnx

For example, the word "discover" would qualify in my book because it contains two separate words that are unrelated to the main word in that neither "disc" nor "over" have anything to do with "discover" (though, technically, "dis" - and not "disc" - is the prefix in the word "discover" - but let's not overcomplicate this game of mine).

Can anyone think of any others? And is there a special name for such a word?
