I got my list from a school different from the one i will be attending this year, and i want to know if i still have to do the summer reading even if im not going to my old school anymore...

i think its too late to get a summer reading list from my new school...im dooooooooooomed...school starts like, next week

Obviously, you do not have to do the summer reading list of the school you are not going to attend. However, you might just want to contact your new school just in case they have a summer reading list. If you don't, and if you do not do the reading, you may be at a distinct disadvantage as a member of your class.

And summer reading is NOT despicable as one responder said. If you are college bound, you must keep your academic skills sharp, and that is done mainly by reading. Further, there is so much to learn in the various disciplines, that getting a jump start by doing summer reading will pay big dividends because you will have an excellent background in the subject, especially English or history.

I doubt it. Summer Reading... a form of mental terrorism on our children by the school system... dispicable....
