If you do something - somebody may react to it by doing something else. Their action is a repercussion of your first act.

If you shout at your best friend, what will the repercussions be? They'll get sad, angry, defensive, shout back.

If you hug your best friend, what will the repercussions be? They'll get happy, smile, hug you back.

I think (im guessin) it means what happens after you do something. example: when you slag off your friend and she finds out, and gets upset. Her getting upset is the repercussion.
