The school is real, the degree is REAL, and you will get a job after graduation. No matter where a person attends school there is always the risk that the field they are studying is not in high demand, but with this school they have people employed and their only job is to find jobs for their graduates, and they do this and set up interviews during the junior and senior year of the degree program. This means that when the person attaining the degree is ready for the internship they are interning for the people they will work for upon attaining their degree. People who have attended this school have jobs just like those people who graduate from other state universities. The course work is hard, but at the same time it just pushes you do do your best and learn the most you possibly can!! If a person wants to attend an on-line school you must be completely self motivated because it is so easy to fall behind because you do not have to appear in a class room. To me that is the only down side to the school!! Oh ya and if you are wondering how I know this I am a graduate, and living proof it works!!!!

The Universityof Pheonix Online has become the premier online college in America(maybe the world).
It was touch and go for them and most of us were not sur eof online college at first. They have survived the critics and are accepted world wide. Now most or all colleges have some online classes of which most cost as much as in school classes.
I know that the federal govt, state and city govts. all recognize the school and hire it's grads. Business also now fully accept online schools credits and grads. If the school is certified as Pheonix online is than their courses are transferable straight to major universities(even though many will say different until cornered on it.)
I had a friend who was at first denied access to the university of Georgia with local college core classes and some online core classes as unacceptable. After she brought to their attention that her clsasses were credited by the state and the the university
of Georgia worked under same state rules as did other shcools that they reconsidered and admitted her.

University of Pheonix could be expensive. What about trying a community college like Barton County online. That is currently what I am doing. I am on my second year and just had a baby so I had to stay home.

I believe it is very expensive. It will cost a lot of money.

Many state schools have distance learning available. They are more respected.

Join the National Guard and have your education paid for you. Get a degree and a commission. Help to fight the bad guys in the world and do disaster relief. 10,000 Guard troops were moving before Katrina hit.

I don't attend it, but have other online colleges. My mother works for UoP and loves it. I think it is a great concept for those people that do not have time to attend college during regular class times.

Bad idea. Degree from there holds no value. I have known some people who got degrees from their online classes and had a real hard time getting j-o-b-s. even in a good job market.
