I was wondering if you guys behave well in class, or badly?

I used to be good sometimes and bad others!!!

Could you guys/girls tell me whether you are the same and why. What are the things or factors that contribute towards you being good or bad at school.

If you are the same as I was, what makes you be good sometimes and bad at other times?

If you are a really bad kid, tell me whats up with that, and what might make you less angry/upset/disruptive.

I really want to know, if you want me to tell you why, its because I have to go teach soon, and I want to be a good teacher!!!!

i took the class all last year and ive forgotten every last bit of spanish i know.

It was one of those things I did as a kid. I had my trusty brown metal "How the West was Won" lunch box for 4 years. By 5th grade I did the brown /plastic bag thing. Some of the schools I am applying to ask for a "quote meaningful to me". I want something non-standard (nothing from presidents etc), but still motivational, inspirational, or meaningful. So far, my top two choices are both from Dr. Seuss.

I ask this because our school has just made drastic dress code changes. It has become much stricter. I understand that showing far too much skin could pose a problem, but trenchcoats? Yes, trenchcoats and studded jewelery are forbidden. We cannot wear anything that looks "scary" or signifies anything religious. Our school encourages us to express ourselves and never let anyone take away our freedom of speech. Perhaps they are trying to prevent a Columbine incident from happening, but I think it is something deeper.They claim that education is affected by how you dress. Personally,I disagree with this. I dress "strangely" and make fine grades. Yes, the "special treatment" issue. At our school, only 6 people dress "dangerously". How can this be classified as special treatment? Most of the trouble comes from the girls showing lots of skin. We show little. There have been so many incidents that we have a police officer to stop us from fighting. What has happened to the average 8th grader?

This was based on review by his prior teacher, his mother and a behavioral specialist. His mom and dad are divorced and he is physically placed with mom, dad has him e/o weekend. She sees alot more of him. Dad at first was receptive to this meeting today, but now feels that its mostly the moms parenting, and he "Doesnt see" any signs of it".
The specialist wants him and the little boys new teacher this fall to fill out a review too, and they meet again in October.

Seems like a long time, since June, when school was out, the mom has been working on this. Hate to see the little guy miss any more school studies.

Any suggestions on what she can do to help him, the school system has been great and as a grandmother he is the sweetest little boy, just once in awhile, he isnt..............
