In general, people who don't like algebra really get geometry and visa versa. Personally I thought they were both pretty easy (although geometry was a LOT more fun--there's nothing like the rush of figuring out a proof). It was Algebra II that was hard for me.

It really depends on your thinking style. Geometric proofs can be nightmarish for some, while balancing equations and solving for 'x' can be horrible for others.
Geometry is about understanding the relationships between different things and how they interact.
Algebra is about finding the value of specific things and how they can be used.
For me (I finished DiffEq in my sophomore year of highschool) and I would take Geometry over Algebra any day because it just makes more sense to me.
Note that in most schools, Algebra is taught before Geometry.

All Geometry is is finding the area/circumference/etc. of shapes. The hard part with it is memorizing the formulas (like the formula for the area a triangle is 1/2 * base * height). Algebra will be included as you will be trying to find the missing lengths/areas of these shapes.

Geometry is fairly easy as long as you don't miss too much school and pay attention to the class you'll be just fine. All of it makes sense and there are many ways to check your work to make sure it is correct. Usually the first half of the class is going over angles and shapes and doesn't get too much into the numbers part until later on.

I think Algebra was more difficult. If you passed it with flying colors, it will help you through Geometry. Some of the principles of Algebra are used in Geometric equations.

In geometry, you do stuff like proofs, and a lot with triangles. A bit of basic trig is needed, and a lot of logic for proofs.
For Algerbra, it's just more graphing stuff and formulas. Only harder.
Geometry is probably the easier of the two.

Geometry is extremely easy, as long as you understand the concept of Sin, Cos, and Tan.

In all my years of learning and teaching mathematics, students have wayyyyyyy more trouble with geometry.
The reason being in geometry, they get their first taste of logic which they must themselves do. They themselves have to do proofs and people get extremely frustrated.
