I am looking for a quote to include on my college application. Any recommendations?

Some of the schools I am applying to ask for a "quote meaningful to me". I want something non-standard (nothing from presidents etc), but still motivational, inspirational, or meaningful. So far, my top two choices are both from Dr. Seuss.

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."

Does anyone have any other quotes I should consider?

My professor loved this quote because it means that even though even though something seemed impossible, and the odds were against him he didnt deter from his course. He pursued his dreams and ambitions, and even if he failed, because of his efforts the world was better for it.
