What do i do if my parents want me to go to a university instead of a community college?

I'm getting ready to be a senior in highschool and am thinking about the different options. I would like to go into Diagnostic Medical Sonography which is only a 2 year program, thus the reason why i want to go to a community college. I've made straight A's in highschool and am in honors classes. My parents also believe that a university would look better than a community college and keep telling me i could go anywhere i want. i can't find universities that offer only 2 year programs, which i have tried telling my parents. I have researched colleges that teach this major and almost all of them are community colleges. What do i do? please help!

Any etymological relationship betw "Jolly ROGER" & 19th C. UK slang "ROGER" (v tr: to make love to a woman)?

I've seen musings re: Jolly Roger that it was an English corruption of French phrase "joli rouge" (an ironic reference to bloodsoaked flags supposedly flown by early buccaneers). Perhaps "jolly" has a specifically nautical nuance; e.g., certain small boats carried by larger ships were known as "jolly boats." [How old is the phrase "Jolly Roger" anyway? Is it possible that Howard Pyle invented it in his 20th C. Book of Pirates?] Why do I suspect there may be a connection between the 2 Rogers? As is well known, the main obligation of any pirate gang was to pillage mercilessly. Unhappily, most pirates possessed very low moral character. Like Mary's Little Lamb, where ever pillage went, rapine was sure to go. Not much of a jump to the Victorian slang term, with its unavoidable connotation of vigorous male action. Person A was said to "roger" Person B, who was described as having been "rogered" by Person A.

Tangram questions, Triangles, and squares...?

Does anyone know if there is a square made of 6 tangram pieces, also is it possible to make a triangle out of 4,5,6,7 tangram pieces...I only have 2 large triangles, 1 medium triangle, 2 small triangles, 1 small square, and a small parallelogram. Think you can figure this out?! GOOD LUCK!

How much money should I save for books?

I am a future freshman at a four year university in California. I am trying to save for books but everytime I ask someone how much I need they always give me completely random numbers. How much do I approximately need to save every semester to buy books if I take around five classes each semester? Thank you!

My probation officer doesnt "approve" me living w/my b.f. If i get married can she LEGALLY do anything?
