I am currently a philosophy major, who is bored with prelaw studies, so I have decided to not go to law school and just pair my current major with an English Major. Will this take longer than 5 years taking 18 hours a semester and going in the summer? Also, can I teach philosophy and/or english on the high school level with these majors?

I am in "The Sound of Music" at my local theater. I am one of the nuns and we have several songs to sing. The trouble is, all but one is in Latin and I would really like to know what I am singing. Can you translate?

1st song:
Donec ponam inimicos tuos, scabellum pedum tuorum. Detorente in via bibet, propterea exaltabit caput.
Sicut erat in principio, et nunc et, semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen.

2nd song:
Rex admirabilis et triumphator nobilis, dulcedo in effabilis, in effabilis, totus desiderabilis, totu desiderabilis.

3rd song:
Gaudeamus gaudeamus omnes in domino diem festum celebrantes.

Last song:
Confitemini Domino quoniam bonus, quoniam bonus, quoniam in saeculum misericordia ejus.

I typed this directly from my music. Can you help?

I'm trying to figures out how you write the possessive for Massachusetts... I guess I don't remember the "rule" for using just an apostrophe or an apostrophe "s" after words that end in "s".

He is the philosopher who said , "I think, therefore I am".

One day Descartes was sitting in a bar having a drink . It was near closing time and the bartender asked him if he wanted one for the road. Descartes replied," I think not." And suddenly disappeared.

Unicef and number of countries working to educate the children , specially for the weaker section sections of the societies but millions of hapless children are uneducated , working as bounded laboures in some asian and african countries. No means of basic needs are available for them , parents cannot afford the costly afairs of schools. Wish to unite the educated people to teach such kids. Difficult to assess and access the area due to lack of funds ans other socio-economic reasons. Just give it a thought and write to me.

I hear the term "walking on eggshells" a lot, but I seem to remember hearing "walking on eggs" used a lot in the past. The latter makes more sense to me, as it connotes you have to tiptoe around carefully. There is no corresponding need to tiptoe around on egg shells, as they are already broken.

Can anyone shed some light on this?
