I was raised catholic, so I hate words like "genuflect," "vestibule" and "rectory." But I also hate other words such as "ointment" or "ladle." Some medical words sound awful to me, such as "chyme," or "speculum" or "gernie."

Many architectural or ornamental terms are horrible, such as "sconce" or "trendle" and "valence" and certainly "wainscoat."

What words make you want to rip your teeth out?

But my mom has two jobs and she doesn't have the time to teach me. So I was looking into taking my classes online with Penn Foster High School but Im worried because i would like to go to college and I don't know how that would look to them. There are many options but we can only afford to spend $1000 and we would like a school that has a payment plan. I am 16 years old and I am going to the 11th grade so i really would like some advice from people with experience with Penn Foster who have went o college or even some one who has used another school who has also attended college. I would like a selfed- paced program so that i can graduate by Janurary 2007. Thank you

We are a rural school located in Vilonia, Arkansas serving students in 5th, 6th, and 7th grades. We are getting a new building but due to budget constraints, our library stock is looking pretty slim. I worked cattle as a young man, and those terms were synonymous with our work. I now work as a counselor at a boys' ranch and was recently queried by some of the boys, as to the violent nature of those terms which, of course, didn't really apply at all. I didn't know how to respond to the questions, however.

I will be graduating with an associates degree to be an RN and I've considered a bachelors or masters in Nursing but I don't want to limit myself to such a specific area. I feel that Nursing is a great base to start from and build on. I've considered Kinesiology, don't want to be a doctor or PA, and don't really know what else nursing could help me with. I've been editing these university videos and most of them have these band leaders who march infront of the school band and then they stop in the middle of the field and lean backwards until the top of their tall hat touches the field.
