I was raised catholic, so I hate words like "genuflect," "vestibule" and "rectory." But I also hate other words such as "ointment" or "ladle." Some medical words sound awful to me, such as "chyme," or "speculum" or "gernie."

Many architectural or ornamental terms are horrible, such as "sconce" or "trendle" and "valence" and certainly "wainscoat."

What words make you want to rip your teeth out?

Because the way my brother used to say them as a child, I hate the words snack and nutritious.
Because my brother says it everytime you answer the phone, I hate "What's up?" Up is the opposite of down!! What more do you need to know??!
Because I can't seem to live without them, I hate the words sh*t, @sshole, F*ck. Because it is just plain sick, I detest Mother F**ker.
I hate meaningless buzzwords made up by companies to sound impressive and sell products (xeneon technology for instance. It doesn't mean anything. It just sounds like it should be something impressive. ) Buzzwords really make me want to rip my teeth out!
