You must be in the wrong places. I meet a lot of dim wits working in the bar. I meet alot of smart people when I am at college. In Michigan they have made the school year shorter. I do not agree with this. Ends before memorial weekend and starts after labor day. This is to promote vacations. (politics)

This puts such a damper on the learning process for the young childern. I understand people need breaks, but education is our furture.

No. It really depends. Education is on the state level so there are 50 different sets of education policies and then towns/cities also make a difference. Aside from constant budget problems at the town level my school is pretty good. I mean, the programs that they are trying to cut out of the budget are pretty cool.

Basically it depends on the students. I'm in the advanced classes and I feel that I am getting a decent education, not great, but decent. Then again, in the lower classes...I don't think that enough gets done.

And yeah, at the college/university level, we are excellent.

If teacher were paid what they are worth . Parents stood behind the teacher in the home and helped the teacher maintain order in the classroom things would be better. There are too many parents that have bad attitudes . NOT MY CHILD syndrome. OR they did it at school you handle it crap .Parents need to know that YOUR child's education is not only just as much YOUR responsibility but should be more importing to you than the teacher after all this is YOUR child .

It all depends on where the school is located. Each state varies it's curriculum.
