this guy that i sometimes talk to online and on the phone said this to me the other night and i'm wondering if anyone knows what it means. first we were talking about a problem that i was dealing with that involved my boyfriend. we were on yahoo messenger. he replied back and said, "if he slips, i'll dip?" maybe i'm just having a blonde moment but i didn't know how to interpret that. i haven't had a chance to talk to him about it and since i'm curious as to the meaning it's driving me crazy. does anyone know?

I'm thinking of pursuing a doctoral degree in anthropology, or history, or near eastern languages and civilizations (semitic cultures, basically - arabic, hebrew, akaddian, etc.). What are they going to look at most? I go to a top 10 liberal arts college, and I have a 3.63-ish GPA. What do I need to get into Yale Graduate School? Or Harvard? Or JHU? Or [insert name of any other college with top programs in those areas]?

I went to college from Fall 2005 to Winter 2006. I took 3 classes, and stopped going to them, therefore failing out. My GPA in high school was a 3.1 . I have had a full time job since December, and I realize I really need an education. I want to go back to school, but I don't know how to start. I will not be satisfied with going to a community college, I want to maybe start by going with continuing education at a large school, and then eventually becoming a full time student there. I will be completing my Bachelor in Philosophy soon and will begin a program to obtain a Master in Humanities to be able to teach philosophy at the community college level. Are there any teaching related positions that I can persue with only by Bachelor's degree before I end up at a community college? Perhaps I may be able to teach 100 or 200 level courses, or something else I haven't thought of? Thanks.
