I do not tutor my own students outside the classroom for money. I have tutoring times before and after school everyday for my students. If students need additional help for which their parents are willing to pay then I feel they should seek the aide of another individual. I tutor other students from other schools and charge a reasonable fee for my time. I believe it would be unethical for me to charge my own students for tutoring.

In my opinion, it's ethical for a teacher to tutor her own students. Obviously, a teacher would know better than anyone about the topic she is teaching that day. So it's very common to have a teacher as a tutor.

Teachers should be able to tutor their students, in fact in my school district it is encouraged. I go in early 3 days a week to help my students who need it.

why would it be, your a teacher and if a student needs help your supposed to give it to them, its not like your giving them an unfair advantage, if the other students want help they can ask, of course its perfectly ok
