Usually when the truth forces its way in upon us, we wind up believing it whether we want to or not. If you are uncomfortable with the potential ramifications, examine the premises.

Don't fall for something just because it looks as if all the evidence is in favor of it-- lots of criminals try to manipulate evidence, research can be wrong, you may not be in possession of all the facts yet, social pressure can make something that is not true seem true, etc.

Who or what is presenting the evidence to you...? Consider the source!

It depends on what subject. It seems that it might be something a little dramatic, religion maybe? If it is religion then don't convince yourself to believe in what you think is wrong. If it's like romance stuff then just let it be what it is.

Now that is just silly! Think about it, why do you not want to believe it in the first place?? There must be a reason for your doubts, and if there are, you need to find out more information before you are 'convinced'!

I think it all goes to state of mind.

If you really want to believe something, sometimes you have to act "as if."... until it becomes part of your persona.

But, theres an even more basic place from which to start:

"If you believe you can do a thing or not, you are usually right."
--Henry Ford

Having said all that, if you REALLY don't want to believe something, NOTHING can make you. That alone shoud help to relieve some anxietyl

Good luck to you.

it depends on what you are trying to convince yourself of
best idea is to debate it see both sides if you are still having trouble try debating it against someone who feels strongly pro the choice you are trying to believe and then sometimes it just takes a little faith in yourself that you are choosing the correct answer

If you don't want to believe it then you never truly will. You just have to have faith in yourself that your instinct is right.

More to the point. Why are you considering forcing yourself to believe something that you don't want to? If it's religion, stick to your guns, don't change you're beliefs to fit in with anyone, you are who you are, don't change it. if it's something else, well, more info required.
