this guy that i sometimes talk to online and on the phone said this to me the other night and i'm wondering if anyone knows what it means. first we were talking about a problem that i was dealing with that involved my boyfriend. we were on yahoo messenger. he replied back and said, "if he slips, i'll dip?" maybe i'm just having a blonde moment but i didn't know how to interpret that. i haven't had a chance to talk to him about it and since i'm curious as to the meaning it's driving me crazy. does anyone know?

in regards to some of the comments made, i have tried to talk to my boyfriend about our problems, he just gets mad and doesn't want to talk about them. and as for the comment regarding me just wanting to hear it for my self esteem that is not true either. i wondered if it meant sex or if it meant a relationship. i wasn't sure is all. thanks for all the feedback.

Think about it...why else is some guy going to be willing to listen to your boyfriend troubles? He is hoping to get some, honey. It is really very simple. He means exactly what you think he means. Besides, you shouldn't be going outside your relationship to discuss your relationship problems. You should be only dealing with your boyfriend. He deserves that courtesy.

Simple - the guy is trying to tell you that if your b/f slips in his b/f duties then he will be more than willing to take his place!

But I think you already knew that - you just wanted someone to re-affirm it - to build your self esteem I think..... Sounds to me like you arent to sure of yourself or your relartionship with your b/f .... if you were then the conversation would have never lead to this!

Are you kidding me???? How much more obvious could that be?

Think about it, what do you have that a member of the male sex would like to "dip" into? You'll figure it out.

I have found that men and women can never be just friends, not ever. Either he likes you or you like him and the one doing the liking is just waiting for their moment to move in. I would be wary of this one- definitely a sexual connotation to what he said.

he means of your boyfriend screws up then he's gonna take your boyfriends place. In other words, he's saying he's gonna "dip"into you if your boyfriend ends up out of the picture by making a mistake.

Sounds like he'll have sex with you after your boyfriend is gone. I wouldn't pursue him any more than an online friend.

i guess it means.. he thinks that your bf is so lucky to have you and he's envious of him for some reason and that if ever he slips(meaning your bf) he (this guy) will be willing to dip his (bf's) head in the toilet.. oh wait, am not blonde but am confused too..sorry can't be much help.. ha ha
