We live in Silver Spring, MD, near DC. We love ethnic food - but also simple steaks and seafood. I'd like to find a place with ambiance and panache. Any suggestions? Thanks!

My husband and I will be in D.C. next weekend for a litle getaway and we have heard about the Morrocan restaurant, Marrakesh. Does anyone know how much the pre fixed menu costs per person? I also heard that they only accept cash/check, no credit?? I've also heard that they charge you extra if you are there around 9:00 when they do the belly dancing, whether you want it or not! We are trying to decide between Marrakesh and the Sky Room restaurant at the top of Hotel Washington for a "romantic" dinner. Any thoughts???

Hi all. I just moved to the DC area (Sterling, VA) from the deep south. I just love the incredible diversity of places to eat in the area. However, my all-time favorite cuisine is Cajun (crawfish etouffee, hot boudin, blackened redfish, etc), and I have yet to find anyplace that serves it.

Does anyone know of any good Cajun or Creole restaurants in the DC area?

I'll be in Frederick, MD for the weekend with my fiance.
Looking for something cozy/romantic/super tasty for Sat. night.
Frederick or Hagerstown, MD, or Washington D.C., etc.

We don't want to spend any more than ~$30 per plate (dinner).

I didn't have any luck finding a website listing restaurants in MD. If you know of any, PLEASE feel free to share :-)

Thanks in advance!

Really bad experience that I want to share with Ritz management. We were turned back after waiting for a reservation for 45 minutes. no apologies, arrogance, disgusting service. I was surprised, stunned and I wish the reservations had been for 6:00pm to actually have time to turn around some plan B. The service at the Ritz’ Maestro restaurant was politely disgusting, never got a chance to review the food.
