There's great urban hiking in Georgetown. You can walk (or take a mule drawn ferry!) up the C&O Canal trail. Great fun.
Shopping is always fun. There are many concerts and events too. Washington City Paper is the best guide to events in DC at any time.
Have fun!

Well, Georgetown is good for shopping and bar hopping....that's about it. And seeing the Exorcist steps. If you get on Metro and go downtown The Smithsonian Museums are cool, The National Zoo (kinda chilly this time of year), all the monuments. Go by the White House and see the christmas tree, which they should be lighting soon. It depends on what you're into, but there's plenty of sight seeing to be done.

Get some change and go around tipping all the bums. SOme of them are quite cheery. Then make sure you do not have lunch at the Tombs. The place is stuffy and full of losers from Gtown. Try to visit the docks over in Southeast DC along the Anacostia- always a few dead bodies floating in the river for entertainment. Avoid being seen by cops when you are driving around with too much to drink. In DC, they can stop you and arrest you for having only .02% BAL. No, I'm not joking.

Well in the Georgetown area, I thinking shopping is pretty much all you can do. You could also visit that house where they taped the Exorcist, but I don't know if they let people go in. I think someone actually lives there.

Go visit the steps where the scene was filmed when the priest was killed in the movie Exorcist. I do not recall exactly where they are but I know the house the movie was filmed in is in G’town. The supposed real event happened to a boy named Ragen in Maryland not to far from there. The house was bulldozed and it’s a parking lot now.
Hit the old post office in D.C. too, its a restraunt now

And if she would not like them, it particularly is great, by way of fact they're unfastened. i'm no longer regularly into that form of component the two, yet i like the museums on the Mall. even whilst i grew to become right into a baby, my mom might take me and my brother downtown to pass to the organic historic previous Museum, and it grew to become right into a handle to me. So i might positioned that on the actual of the record. tell her to purely attempt it. there is likewise the botanical backyard on the mall, additionally unfastened. I particularly like it there. And as somebody else reported, the zoo is great. in simple terms strolling around the city is a huge form of exciting. additionally, in case you're keen to pass a distance, pass to Baltimore as nicely. The aquarium is a huge form of exciting, as is the internal harbor.
