I'll be in Frederick, MD for the weekend with my fiance.
Looking for something cozy/romantic/super tasty for Sat. night.
Frederick or Hagerstown, MD, or Washington D.C., etc.

We don't want to spend any more than ~$30 per plate (dinner).

I didn't have any luck finding a website listing restaurants in MD. If you know of any, PLEASE feel free to share :-)

Thanks in advance!

In Hagerstown, MD (approx 25 minute drive from Frederick) There is a nice restaurant downtown. I have never heard anyone say anything but great things about it. My experience there was absolutely delightful! Check it out!

Roccoco
20 W Washington St,
Hagerstown, MD
(301) 790-3331

Here's their website: http://www.roccoco.com/

I also agree with the respondent above. Schmankerl-Stube Bavarian Restaurant, is a great little place. However Rococo is a little more romantic.

We recently tried a little place in downtown Hagerstown called
Schmankerl-Stube Bavarian Restaurant, 58 S. Potomac St. (across from the library). Good food, atmosphere, decent though not huge portions, drinks, German beers, nice desserts, service, etc. Most entrees around $12. to $18. They also have "Sampler" and "Dinner for 2" meals. Weekends make reservations first.
Addendum for respondent 2: We also tried Rococco's once, and while the food was ok, it was A LOT more expensive than the German place and for the money it didn't amount to much. You're paying for "super fanciness" . . . which we don't fancy all that much!

Gadzooks, don't go all the way to hagerstown! Geesh. It's an hour drive.

Try this restaurant in the old town part of Frederick. It's actually kinda cool there, and they have a brew pub after you eat right across the street for later.

here are a few: Acacia is very cool and hip.

And one more in Leesburg, Virginia:

I hope you use this info to good use, as it took forever getting the info for ya!

have fun...and write if the place you go is any good, as I have not tried all of these yet!
