We are going to a course dining resturant for the second time and we want to become regulars there. It is the only course resturant available for at least 100 miles and I don't wanna blow it. The first time we went there our bill was 90.00 and some change for 2 and we left an even 120.00. We are going back and I need to know if that was fair and if I should tip more. We were the only ones in the resturant - reservations only, one couple per night, fine bone china dining and served by a chef and a food stylist. really fancy, how much do I tip???? Please Help!!!!!!!

Where to go to dinner in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area of Minnesota? Nothing fancy, somewhat moderate to moderate-high in price. Nothing cheap and nothing super expensive.

Me and my cousin always argue about this. We went out to the movies a while ago with our kids and when the movie was over, we went to the Hard Rock Cafe. The waitress we had did her job well, but she had the worst attitude towards us. When we left, my cousin left her a tip. I wasn't gonna leave her *** anything.

What do you think? should you tip your waiter/waitress if they are a real b*tch, even if they did everything you asked them to and beyond?

In a few weeks I'll be going to Epcot with my sister and our boyfriends. Both my sister and I have been to Epcot before. I'm not sure if we're going to do a sit down meal this time or if we'll just pick on stuff (since it's the Food and Wine Festival). We're just not sure where to go if we do a sit down meal. We were thinking of going to the restaurant in Mexico, because it looks so pretty, but I want to be sure that the food is good (plus my boyfriend is from Mexico, so if it's gonna be a really crappy imitation of Mexican food, then I'd rather not go). Also we were considering maybe the Mitsukoshi restaurant in Japan (teppanyaki dining) or one of the French restaurants. I'd like to hear opinions from people who have actually eaten in these places. Is the food good and pretty authentic? I've had fish and chips from the UK, which weren't bad, and have eaten at the Yakitori House in Japan, which was awful. Does the food get better at the sit down places, or is it generally the same?

I'm young and single and moving to Charlotte, NC and I'm wondering where the best places are to meet people (and the best means of meeting people). I've heard a lot about Uptown and I'm definitely going to check it out, but I was wondering if there were other areas that might fit the bill, ones that were a little earthier maybe (less professional, perhaps).

Didn't know exactly where to put this question, either. Thanks.

It has been at least 20 years since I ate at Denny's, but for some reason I noticed their new Breakfast Commercial. The meal looked huge so I checked it out:
Item / Calories / Fat / Salt
Meat Lover's Scramble / 1210* / 73 gm / 4350mg
Country Sausage Bowl / 1680* / 108gm /3750mg
Fab French Toast Platter / 1261* / 45 gm / 2495mg
* Doesn't Include Calories from butter or fruit toppings

108 gram of fat is 1/2 cup of pure oil....4350mg of salt is nearly a TABLESPOON of pure salt.

Does anyone really eat this stuff? After seeing these numbers I am glad I haven't been there in 20 years and I wouldn't trust them to serve me a cup of coffee that didn't contain a salt mine and a whole cow.

How about you? If you do eat at Denny's regularly, then what is your BMI? Your choleserol? I am very curious about this!

(These nutritional counts come directly from www.dennys.com. I do have to say at least they have the guts to show the numbers. TGIF doesn't disclose their info at all.

Did anyone have great food there? My prime rib was actually a sirlion, my daughters pasta was dripping with oil and do they actually have some brownie that's gluten free? My experiences have been terrible. Is it just me or do other people think that they could use some improvement?

Like ryans, golden corral, ponderosa, chinese.... just basically any buffet place where the server is only getting you new plates and maybe refilling your drinks??

Are they only paid 2.15+ like regular servers? Or do they get minimum wage?

I always tip 20% anywhere else, I just find it hard to tip someone that much when I'm getting my own food and stuff....?? Has anyone worked at a buffet before that knows?

I used to when I did that for a living. I dreamt one night that everytime somebody ordered a drink I had to drive to K-Mart to go and get it.
I also had the dream where the section I was working in was huge and I was in the weeds the whole time.
