In a few weeks I'll be going to Epcot with my sister and our boyfriends. Both my sister and I have been to Epcot before. I'm not sure if we're going to do a sit down meal this time or if we'll just pick on stuff (since it's the Food and Wine Festival). We're just not sure where to go if we do a sit down meal. We were thinking of going to the restaurant in Mexico, because it looks so pretty, but I want to be sure that the food is good (plus my boyfriend is from Mexico, so if it's gonna be a really crappy imitation of Mexican food, then I'd rather not go). Also we were considering maybe the Mitsukoshi restaurant in Japan (teppanyaki dining) or one of the French restaurants. I'd like to hear opinions from people who have actually eaten in these places. Is the food good and pretty authentic? I've had fish and chips from the UK, which weren't bad, and have eaten at the Yakitori House in Japan, which was awful. Does the food get better at the sit down places, or is it generally the same?

There is food court in "The Land" that is a good lunch spot. The Restaurant in Mexico is so so. Not real Mexican food by any means. Not even Tex Mex for that matter.
Biergarten Restaurant in the German section is pretty cool I think.
Bistro de Paris is a good snack place. They have some decent pastries. It can be a light meal.
Over all, I think Disney is a great vacation spot (I have been back 4 times.) and enjoyed every trip. But it is hard to plan meals, you just never know where you are going to be when it is time to eat. There is too much to see.
Enjoy the trip!

LET ME BE HONEST: The Mexican restuarant is gorgeous and service wonderful but food very very average. The Japanese restaurant is very very nice, has nice shops and the food is well presented and tastes great. My personal favorite that many seem to ignore is the Netherlands Buffett style place Asherkaus.

The service gets better at the sit down placces but not necesarily the food.

They have extensive breads, cheeses., entrees, vegies, (all you can eat) and great dessert items.

My relatives and that i had Dinner on the German Pavilion. The nutrition replaced into particularly stable and the entertainment replaced into advantageous. there's a sprint German band that comes on each and every hour or so and that they have got been relaxing to observe and hear. For dessert i might surprisingly advise Paris. there is this little pastry shop there that had such somewhat some remarkable cakes! in case you're staying in between the Disney international lodges ask approximately getting a nutrition card. nutrition and water is overvalued in the parks and this replaced into very lots using fact it stored us a stable chew of money.
