It has been at least 20 years since I ate at Denny's, but for some reason I noticed their new Breakfast Commercial. The meal looked huge so I checked it out:
Item / Calories / Fat / Salt
Meat Lover's Scramble / 1210* / 73 gm / 4350mg
Country Sausage Bowl / 1680* / 108gm /3750mg
Fab French Toast Platter / 1261* / 45 gm / 2495mg
* Doesn't Include Calories from butter or fruit toppings

108 gram of fat is 1/2 cup of pure oil....4350mg of salt is nearly a TABLESPOON of pure salt.

Does anyone really eat this stuff? After seeing these numbers I am glad I haven't been there in 20 years and I wouldn't trust them to serve me a cup of coffee that didn't contain a salt mine and a whole cow.

How about you? If you do eat at Denny's regularly, then what is your BMI? Your choleserol? I am very curious about this!

(These nutritional counts come directly from www.dennys.com. I do have to say at least they have the guts to show the numbers. TGIF doesn't disclose their info at all.

TIM...Give me a break! You would have to RUN for at least 3 or 4 hours straight to burn 1300 calories. While you might sweat out the salt, no matter how far you run it doesn't take the cholesterol out of your system!

I eat there at least twice or three times a month. My cholesterol is 164 and doing better than 168 last year. It's the size of the portion that counts. For example, my wife and always share a breakfast plate or lunch plate and we never order the big platters or skillets. Those plates are freakin loaded with fat/cheese and cholesterol. The portions are too big for just one person.

For some odd reasons, my friends really like going there and since i dont like to sit at home while my friends go out together i tag along. I see what they order and think most of the dishes are pretty discusting...so i usually order bowl of fruit, or their salards without cheese and their bread, which is basically a pieace of toast dripping with garlic butter. But i agree..their breakfast meals are sooooo huge. def not somethingi would order

It has been about a year since I ate a Denny's with one of my friends at 4 in the morning. I can remember ordering the smothered cheese fries. I hate to see what is in them. ( I haven't looked yet) It never really bothered me what was in it at the time I ate it, but lately I have been cautious about what I eat. I don't want to eat something that is just slowing killing me.

Ate breakfast there with my dad yesterday. Don't eat there regularly because I enjoy cooking, but I go there more than once a decade! I'm too lazy to figure my BMI, I'm 5'4" and weigh about 115. Cholesterol is fine.

Yesterday, but only because my bagel shop next door was closed for the holiday weekend. I stuck with the oatmeal and a glass of juice. I think I eat there about once a year, just to remind me why I don't eat there the rest of the year.

They don't have a lot of fresh food nor fresh ingredients. I used to eat beakfast there almost every morning back in the early 70's when I was just out of school. I haven't been to one in ages, not even travelling across country here in the US nor seeing a couple in major cities in Mexico.

1994 when I was on vacation. We were traveling and stopped for breakfast. I was so impressed, I haven't been back since. I'm not surprised about the calories and fat you mentioned!
