Do you make any distinction between a ban imposed by the government or a ban imposed by the manager?

Let me know if you smoke also, or if it depends on who you are going with if visiting.

They wrote on the tab how much to put on each card. There was still a balance of 14 cents AFTER I ran the credit cards. I brought it all back to the table and politely told them that there was still a small balance. One of the ladies acted very offended. I went around the corner and listened to their conversation for a minute. This woman was APALLED that I would bring this to their attention. I was not rude or offensive, I just wanted to make sure they knew. All of them left 20% tips, except this woman drew a line through the tip on her credit card slip. Should I have just let it go?

So being that it is the Holiday season, I notice, as a server, that tips tend to decrease. I realize that money is tight and that you need to buy presents for your family and friends. Why are you going out to dinner if you can't afford to tip your server? The thing is, guests don't realize is that the money tipped is not the money that your server keeps. Servers have to tip out bussers, bartenders, and in some instances food expeditors and hostesses. Regardless of the tip that is left, servers are taxed on the full amount of sales. What that means to someone not working in the food industry is that you can work a 40 hour week and still get a paycheck every two weeks of $150- $200 (in CA, where the cost of living is astronomical). For parties of seven or more the gratuity placed is generally placed at 18% of the bill. Tips are the base of our income. Can you please keep that in mind for our familes during the holidays?

We are looking to go to a place that has a variety of different rolls to choose from. It is some people's first time, so I think a variety of cooked and uncooked would be the key. THANKS!!!

I took an associate of mine, Paul Allen, to Tex Arcana the other day and he said that we should have went to Dorsia and that he "could have gotten us a table." that really irritated me and it carried over into the night, I wound up taking care of the issue later, but what restaurant is better?
