Why do waiters clear the table before everyone is done eating? I'm always the last to finish and I feel very uncomfortable eating when my plate is the only one on the table. Is this wrong for a waiter to do?

Honestly Hooters seems to me like an Applebees with waitresses in shorts.

I don't find the outfits sexy --- it does not even bother me that my BF goes with his basketball team because 90% are only so-so looking too and when you look around the place is full of desperate guys thrilled that some waitress is paid to flirt with them. I find it kind of funny and the food is greasy and overpriced. $9 for a hamburger.....

Most restaurants in San Francisco have sexier bartenders and waitresses working at night and its not all brightly lit like a Denny's!

I've been to the beach in places like Outer Banks, North Carolina and Ocean City Maryland and Delaware and realized that all of the pizza in that area either really sucked or was run by a franchise (which means it still sucks). I think Jacksonville, FL is a cool place but are there really any good pizza joints in Jacksonville. I live in PA and every block has a pizza joint run by an old Italian guy with a great pizza recipe and I was wondering if that case is similar at all in Jacksonville, Florida.

I don't advise going to Outback Steak House for Fathers day(or any other day for that matter)...slick commercials...but when I went there, the place looked like any other food outlet, the menu offered nothing special, and the food was bland and terribly pricey.

Now I know there must be some out there who think the food is good...I used to think about the clap-trap car I drove while I was in college which I found "entertaining"...of course until I finished school and could afford the real deal.

If you want to spend $100 on a meal, I suggest going somewhere where you enjoy the food, not the gimmicks designed to snare the customer.

I've heard rumors about this and lately have been seeing JIB commercials on tv. (I live in Connecticut and we haven't had a Jack in the Box here for over 20 years)

I opened my restaurant one year ago. Sales were up, and people were waiting around the building just to get in. I year later sales are declining and I am worried. Would like to have suggestions or gimmicks to get people back in to eat at my steakhouse. What would bring you in as a new client?

I had the most rude person I have ever waited on tonite!
while asking him to choose a selection for his salad dressing he made a sleezy noise, grabbed his crotch and said...Italian baby!
I was horrified!
it just got worse from there, as he also pinched my behind.
at that point obviously I got the manager involved in taking over the table for me.
I just could not believe this guy.

I'm wondering about how hard it is to wait tables @ a formal restaurant. It's called a wine bar, actually. They have over 500 wines, and I don't even like to drink. It's a pretty expensive/classy place, and they say the pay is REALLY good, how good i don't know, I don't know anyone who actually works there. I've been a waitress at a breakfast place for 4 years, do you think I could handle it? Is it hard having to learn all the wines and what food goes with what & all that? thanks
