I once worked at a Friday's for several years, surpassed many managers in my time. But with out being bias, i would have to say that Friday's is a far more better establishment because of how different the entire concept is with it's own signature sauce and dishes. Applebee's as big as they may be, simply are not to different from all the rest in regard to the quality of food. I have been there many times, and seems to stand out at me. Now with that said, I will say this. Friday's has fallen a bit with the quality of its food over the years. Mostly everything that once was made from scratch is now already process and frozen when it comes to each store. The meats are all cooked there, but everything else from sauces to sides are all pre-made and frozen. The is form of cooking occurred around 2003, due to cost of goods. But nevertheless, Friday's still holds it's ground with being different and true to their concept.

Oh man, TGI Fridays, the Applebee's in San Antonio are junky.

Depends on your location, in the US I think Applebee's is much better. In other places I have seen TGI Fridays surpasses the other.

TGI Fridays they are delicious. I have always had bad service and food at Applebees.

I have to say Applebee's, because I've never been to TGI Fridays, because it's always too busy & I can never even get any parking.....

I'm going to have to go with TGI Fridays. The food's comparable at both, but Fridays makes a better bloody mary. I always rate restaurants on their bloody marys. The food can be forgettable, but I remember a good bloody mary.

I like Friday's better. Applebee's just seems like fast food with silverware.
