I call it the Outhouse, just another chain restaurant. "No rules, just right"? What does that mean anyway?

I personally have had good food, good service, cleanliness & quality.
The quality in every restaurant depends soley on the management. If they are not experienced enough, or do not have enough hands on knowledge about the job they are doing you're are out of luck. Management has to know thier product, be able to operate every phase of the business, and stay aware of what all employees are doing and the quality of everyone's work.
Out Back is a franchise. If you get poor anything your first point of contact is the Manager (who should have been at your table during your visit at some point).
Also, do not eat what is served you if it is not right or cooked improperly or there is a problem with the quality.
If you do not get the proper reaction, politely ask for the check, (which they probably comp if you leave without eating) and leave.
Then go the the website and send an e-mail to corporate explaining your issues, along with managers name, location of the establishment, date & time you were there and a detailed description of the issues.
Believe me! They will respond.
And, if you are so inclined you can call them in addition to the e-mail.
guaranteed response.
Oh, and yes, there are gluten-free baked goods.

I personally think that the place is over priced for what you get. Definitely over-rated. I have been to the one where I live and it is awful. Steaks are not cooked properly and service sucks. I have yet to go back. However, I went to one in Houston with a friend and ordered the same thing. It was great there. Perfectly cooked steak and service was very good there. It may be the franchise location that you are going to. Talk to the management and let them know the concerns. They may be unaware of what is going on in the kitchen or with the waitstaff. Then again they may know and not care. If that is the case tell them they are losing a valuable diner. Try Texas Roadhouse, Salt Grass steak house if you have them in your area.

I've been a few times (maybe about 5 times) and never to the same one. I've never had anything even close to decent there except maybe the blooming onion. If the people I were with hadn't chosen the place, I would never have gone again after the first time.

I have had good luck with the Mahi Mahi, and the small steaks. I love their bread.
I don't think they have any gluten free brownies. I never eat their pasta.

Middle of the road steak house chain. If you want great stakes, try Mortons or Ruth Chris.

They need a lot of improvements. If they are going to serve food like that they need to lower the prices.

The two in my area are fine in terms of preperation, however I think the food is generally too heavy, the portions are outrageous and there is just much fat. I can't eat like that!

I liked their food the two times that I went. It wasn't the BEST, but it was good. They are too pricey to go too often.

I have always had goodluck but if you have a problem you need to contact the manager or corporate. They may not do anything for you but for them to get better they have to know about it.
