I've always wondered about this question. I don't want to come off as a cheapskate or anything when I order out, but I also don't want to have to spend more than I have to. I figure that when we tip, it is for SERVICE. But when we order out, service is taken out of the equation, isn't it? So do we still need to tip? Is it in poor taste NOT to? If you tip on take-out, then how much do you usually leave? Do you tip the same as you would if you were eating your meal in the restaurant (15-20%)? I want to see what the rest of the world does in this situation, so that I can modify my own behavior accordingly.

...do they just recover left-overs from the garbage cans outside reputable restaurants?
The last time I ate at White Castle, I was out with friends, and four out of the sixof us wound up with food poisoning.
Have you had similar experiences with Dining Out? If so, 1.) where were you eating, 2.) did you complain to the establishments' owner/operator? 3.) were you compensated for your trouble?
(Your experience does not have to be specific to White Castle)

i just got sinus surgery and i was told to eat relatively soft foods like pasta/ice cream/soup ect. i want to go quick to get food at a fast food place but cant think of one that serves some softer foods and serve them at this time 9:04am so please name any fast food restaurant and the item thats soft

While you're at a sit down restaurant is it good that they give you your bill as soon as your meal arrives or not? There is one restaurant I go to called Shari's and they always give me my bill as soon as my meal arrives and I know that the other restaurants I go to (Applebee's, Elmer's and Red Robin or El Sombrerro) doesn't give you your bill until when you're done eating, plus most of the servers at Shari's Restaurant aren't very friendly towards their guests.

I work with the public all day and I have a tone of my own CRAZY customer stories.

I got to thinking how many more are out there.

I think Hair Dressers, Bartenders,Retail Sales, would have the best.
