It's usually a dress code. I had short hair and still had to wear a cap from the country club. Bald, short hair, long hair, we all had to wear the same head covering.

All health depts require your head to be covered while working around food. Doesn't matter if you have hair. Depending on the work place, uniform, and health code, you may have to wear a chefs hat, a toque, baseball cap, hairnet, etc. But the most comfortable, affordable, and form fitting for a bald head is a skull cap. They are only a couple of bucks so you can buy a few, soft, adjustable in some cases. Here's a website where you can find a good one made by Dickies.

What's so bold about wearing a hairnet?
Okay, I'm editing. At first I thought you meant bald, but no one answered yet so I really thought it might be a new trend on the cooking channel or something. lol If you're so weird, then I'm so out of it! Anyway, the bald chefs I know wear a cap or scarf to keep the sweat off their face. I wish everyone in food service still had to wear a net or tie their hair back. It's disgusting how many restaurants (fast or fine) I go to and see staff with their hair hanging all over my food.
Ugh.
