I ate a live witchetty grub while working on a cattle station in Western Australia. I felt its little legs waving frantically as it went down. That evening I had crocodile, buffalo and kangaroo ragout with stewed yams, which is a vast improvement on eating a live witchetty grub. Then again, having your head forcibly inserted up an elephant's jacksie is a vast improvement eating a live witchetty grub.

I was stationed in Korea a number of years ago and was served dog. Rather gamey taste actually. From that point on the other G.I.s and I would set loose we saw any dog tied up out front of a Korean merchant....

I was in Cozumel. I had Turtle steak, and it was very good and tasted just like beef. If you've never had it, try it sometime. You'll like it.
