My husband and I went out to eat last night and our bill came to $27 (it was $22 at first but they were selling raffle tickets to help a charity so we bought $5 worth). We gave the waitress $40 (2 twenties) and waited for change. We figured we would leave around $6 (which is over 20%). When she came back with our change it was a ten dollar bill and three ones. I think that she gave us a ten in hopes that we would just leave that for her. Thats annoying to me. She was pretty nice, but I think $10 for a $27 bill is a bit much. What do you guys think?

It will be during the day, around noon, I was thinking of taking her to a mall, have drinks at a coffee shop and eat while there a little bit or go to a restaurant, what restaurant should i take her to. And then take a walk outside of the mall and talk, what do you think? do you have any other suggestions or recommendations?
PS, We are young, i'm 22 and she is 19.
