Salad, it helps keep your diet balanced as well as not being too heavy before your meal, making it more enjoyable. Ever had a salad and felt hungry a little while later? Soup never does that unless it is a clear broth.

Depends on the weather. If its warm out, generally salad. In winter, soups a better choice.

Soup is good before dinner because it works as an appetizer. Salad after dinner because it helps you digest your entree.

Definitely salad. It's healthy, attractive and filled with nutrients. Soup can be too filling and can spoil the meal. Because it's mostly liquid you also wind up hungry soon after the meal.

I love soup, all kinds, all year round but especially in the winter. It's comfort food.

Tonite I'll be starting our Chinese dinner with hot and sour soup, one of my faves, any time of year!

Soup if it is cold. Salad if it is warm or hot. In Eurpoe you would have your salad after dinner.

Soup. Helps break up the gas on your empty stomach, so you can eat more without feeling uncomfortable.
