The NYC health department unveiled a proposal on Sept. 26 that would bar cooks at any of the city's 24,600 food service establishments from using ingredients that contain the artery-clogging substance, commonly listed on food labels as partially hydrogenated oil.

Was the food gross? Were the waiters/waitresses rude? Did it take a long time for you to get seated? Did you demand a refund?

We always tip (15% - 20%) when we go out to dinner, get haircuts, have someone deliver food to us, etc. However, we are trying to lower our expenses. We are rethinking giving tips just for people to do their jobs, especially in the case when they aren't doing anything special (or in some cases, aren't even pleasant or courteous) to earn the tip?

is it unusual for him to order for me when we dine out. I am 42 and he is 64, the first time he attempted to I thought he was just playing around so I chuckled a little, but he continued to order. Now our age isn't that far apart, I don't think it's a usual thing "anymore" to do that for a woman, but maybe it was for him in the past. I really don't feel right saying anything, is he being too controlling?

My boyfriend and I are celebrating our 3 year anniversary this weekend. The only problem is finding a place to eat. I'm a vegetarian living in carol county NH and its just about impossible to find a place that serves vegetarian options in this area. I'm not necessarily looking for a vegetarian restaraunt (though that would be nice) just something with at least 2 vegetarian options on the menu. If at all possible provide a link to the restaraunts website

Ok, this is just very odd.

I got Chinese food for dinner from a place down the road. I get home, start eating, and the broccoli in the Lo Mein tastes just like marijuana.

This is a serious question: Is there any sauce it could be? Anything at all except what it actually tastes like? Or do I need to go back to the place and throw a fit?

Please no answers that are joking, this is serious.

Ok, they bring a lobster to the table and plop the plate down. What do I eat? Do I eat the innards? What do I eat? Is the head supposed to be eaten? By non-savages I mean.
