dont know dont care, pass the vodka

Nobody can point their finger. All 'pointing' must be done using the elbow and a bent-back arm

Players must never be referred to by their first names - only by surnames or nicknames

No swearing is allowed

The word 'drink' can not be used as a verb; 'consume' or 'imbibe' are common replacements

The little finger should not rest on the glass/bottle/drinking vessel when it is being drunk from. This is referred to as "No pinky on the drinky"

The right hand should be used to drink if the time is anything between the hour and half past the hour (i.e. the minute hand is on the right side of a watch); the left hand should be used to drink if the time is anything between half past the hour and the hour (i.e. the minute hand is on the left side of a watch)

If you buy a bottle and the seam of the glass runs through the centre of the front label, whoever bottle it is must down the bottle

'Live by the sword; die by the sword' - if you are one of these people who wants to make sure everyone drinks the full quota of their penalties, then make sure you do the same when it comes to your turn!

I've been to a restaurant (not a kid's restaurant like Chuck E. Cheese), with white butcher paper over the tables and a glass of crayons. I think it was in Minneapolis, but that was when I was in my 20's. It was fun to color on the table like a kid! And when we left, you could take the paper with you! It was really fun. Maybe it was Fuddruckers. I can't remember.

I've occasionally come across restaurants (and even a pub) with book cases from which customers were free to help themselves and browse. A great idea! A tactful waiter will often bring a lone diner a paper to read while waiting to be served: otherwise, when you are in company, the whole idea is to enjoy the conversation of your companions and to do anything else is uncivilised!

B/c adults presumably should be able to keep themselves entertained through conversation or the like. Meanwhile, some parents don't think to bring something for their children when they go out to eat ... apparently oblivious to the fact that children have short attention spans and will either be running around the restaurant or throwing a fit if they do not have something to occupy them.

I dont know if they still do this, but at the Maccaroni Grill, the table cloths are paper and they give crayons to everyone young or adult and you can draw all you want. Its so great. I drew a Ninja Turtle one time.

I think because it keeps the kids occupied so that the adults can still enjoy being at the restarurants. It makes them behave. But to answer your question about nothing for the adults, have a drink! You can help your kids color if you like.

I'm with ya, I think they should have hand outs for adults that dine alone. Crossword, or some sort of puzzles, short story, pack of cards for solitaire, SOMETHING. Lol, give me something else to do besides drinking wine and chatting up the cute (or not) bartender.

Romano's Macaroni Grill puts crayons on the table for you, and you write on the table. Plus the food is great. Drawing on the table rocks :)
